The Nintendo DSi is the successor of the popular Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite handheld. The Nintendo DSi is 2.6mm or 12% thinner than the Nintendo DS Lite and has two VGA 0.3 megapixel cameras. Once is located on the internal hinge towards the player, one is on the outer shell of the device. The Nintendo DSi has an even slicker design, but to have this awesome new design it had to sacrifice its GBA-slot. The power switch has been replaced with a power button located next to the screen on the bottom. The main menu of the Nintendo DSi has been renewed and players can now hotswap DS gamecards. The NDSi has five brightness settings, the battery life is about 9-14 hours on the lowest setting.

* CPUs: The main CPU is an ARM processor clocked at 133 MHz.
* RAM: 16 MB of RAM (four times more than previous models)
* Storage: 256 MB of internal Flash memory
* Wireless: 802.11 internal wireless connectivity
* 840mAh battery
The DSi features an SD card slot on the right side of the device. It can be used for external storage of pictures, downloaded software or for playing AAC audio. Users can also record audio in AAC and edit this recorded audio. The Wii Photo Channel can also be synced with the DSi. Similar to the PSP, the DSi will receive firmware updates and it won’t be region free any longer to make sure hackers won’t make a chance. All exisiting flashcards don’t work on the new Nintendo DSi. Eleemnts like internet browsing, Nintendo DS software and photo sharing are region free though.
